Tablets and "Smartphone" Lenovo must Sign in Indonesia




Not only will distribute low-end mobile phone product class or lower middle, Lenovo Mobile has promised to bring in smartphones and tablets to Indonesia. Smartphone and tablets as LePhone LePad will enter this year as well.

"Regarding LePhone, we hope that the product can be released in the second quarter," said Jimmy Lamo, President Director of PT Global Cellular Network (GSN), Thursday (03/31/2011). GSN is the sole distributor of products of Lenovo Mobile in Indonesia. For the tablets, he promised that the product will be available before the end of the year.

On the occasion, he also showed off LePhone that uses the Android operating system. LePhone comes with a 3.7-inch touch screen, cast metal with oval shape at the top and bottom sides. This product is already out in China since last year.

The LePad a sail a 10.1-inch tablet that uses the Android operating system Froyo. LePad also supports hybrid that can display the Windows operating system when coupled with the docking and special keyboard U1. LePad just been released in China a few days ago.

"We're going to focus on Indonesian market which has the largest population in Southeast Asia," said Ling Qi, General Manager of Overseas Department of Lenovo Group.
