One of the founders of Google, Larry Page, officially took office as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Google on Monday (04/04/2011) this. Previously, for 10 years, positions held CEO Eric Schmidt who also acts a mentor for Google founders Larry Page or the other, Sergey Brin.
Announcement of change of peak positions in Google are done since January 20, 2011 last. At that time, Eric Schmidt said that Larry Page is ready to lead back the company he founded. He felt quite provide direct assistance or called adult supervision to Larry Page.
"I am very proud to be a CEO in the last decade and I'm sure the next 10 years under the leadership of Larry will get better. Larry, in my opinion, ready to lead," said Eric Schmidt. He said, with the founders of Google at the top decision-making, Google will go much faster.
Although no longer CEO, Eric Schmidt will still be joining Google. He will be appointed Executive Chairman. He is now focusing on transactions, partnerships, customers, and the broader business relationships. He also will continue to act as an advisor to Larry Page and Google's other founder, Sergey Brin. Eric Schmidt also will be key to Google's promotion dreams and visions for the future to various parts of the world.
