China is known as a country that applies strict restrictions on access to Internet services. However, in the midst of these restrictions, the internet service in the Bamboo Curtain country was growing rapidly.
In fact, Xinhua is a news service, has just launched its own search engine services by cooperating with China Mobile, one of the largest telecommunications operator in the country. Both founded the search engine company that provides services Panguso in www.panguso.com.
"We want to unite the power of the official news agency Xinhua as a source of news and information is huge and China Mobile with the technology, a sophisticated operation, and a strong infrastructure," said Li Congjun, President of Xinhua in its launch on Tuesday (02/22/2011 ) yesterday.
He said Panguso even set a target to be number one search engine services in China. Currently, Baidu is the leader in service after Google said it withdrew from China last year. China is now the country with the world's largest Internet subscribers with the number reaching 457 million people.
